Aging-in-Place USA is intended to be usable by older adults, family members, carers, professionals and providers with a wide range of access needs.
We aim to design and maintain the website in line with the principles of WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably achievable.
What we are working to provide
This includes clear heading structures, readable text and spacing, keyboard-accessible controls, visible focus states, sufficient contrast, responsive layouts, meaningful link text and forms that remain usable at smaller screen sizes and increased text sizes.
Accessibility is considered as part of the site’s normal build and quality-assurance process rather than as a separate visual treatment.
Third-party components
Some features depend on third-party software or services, including mapping, payment, directory and account components.
We aim to configure these accessibly, but some aspects of third-party interfaces may sit outside our direct control.
Need information in another way?
If something on Aging-in-Place USA prevents you from accessing information or completing a task, please contact us at: aginginplaceusa@gmail.com
When reporting an accessibility problem, it helps to include the page you were using, what you were trying to do and the browser or device you were using where known.
We will use accessibility feedback to help prioritize fixes and improvements.
Standards and review
We aim toward WCAG 2.2 AA rather than claiming formal conformance that has not been independently established.
