Aging-in-Place USA respects your privacy and aims to be clear about the information we collect, why we use it and the choices available to you.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Aging-in-Place USA website at ageinplaceusa.com and the services made available through it.
Aging-in-Place USA is operated by David Thornton trading as Aging-in-Place USA.
Privacy enquiries can be sent to aginginplaceusa@gmail.com.
Information you provide to us
You may provide information when you contact us, create an account, submit or claim a provider listing, manage provider information, submit service or coverage details, or otherwise interact with features on the website. Depending on the feature used, this information may include your name, email address, account information, business contact details, provider information, service information, coverage information and the contents of messages or forms you submit. Provider organisations and physical branch or location information are separate parts of the Aging-in-Place USA model, and providers may submit service-specific coverage information used by the matching system. Please do not submit medical records, financial account details, passwords or other highly sensitive personal information through ordinary website forms unless a feature specifically requests that information.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our systems may automatically record technical information when you visit or use the site. This can include your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring page, date and time information, security events, server logs and similar technical information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website. Cookies or similar technologies may also be used for essential website functions, account sessions, security, preferences and other purposes described through the site’s cookie controls.
How we use information
We use information where reasonably necessary to operate and improve Aging-in-Place USA, provide requested website features, maintain user and provider accounts, respond to enquiries, administer provider listings and claims, review submitted provider and coverage information, operate the Service + ZIP matching experience, prevent misuse, maintain security and comply with applicable legal obligations. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how the service is being used and improve its functionality.
Provider listings and public information
Certain provider information is intended to be public. This may include business name, business description, website, telephone number, public contact information, services offered, branch or location information, service areas and other provider-profile information. Providers should not submit private personal information into fields intended for public display. Claiming a provider listing establishes management or ownership of that listing within the site. It does not mean that Aging-in-Place USA has verified or endorsed the provider.
Matching and location information
Aging-in-Place USA may use ZIP codes and structured geographic information to help match users with providers who have declared relevant service coverage. A provider’s physical office location is not treated as automatic evidence that the provider serves every nearby area. Matching uses declared service-specific coverage rather than relying solely on office proximity. ZIP codes entered into the public search tool are used to produce service results. They should not be used to infer more information about an individual than is necessary for that search.
Third-party services
Aging-in-Place USA relies on third-party services to operate parts of the website. These may include website hosting, WordPress software and plugins, mapping and address services, email delivery, security services and, where paid provider features are made available, payment-processing services. Google Maps-related services may be used for mapping, address autocomplete and geocoding. Where third-party services process information, their own privacy terms may also apply.
Payments
If paid provider features are made available, payments may be processed through a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. Aging-in-Place USA should not need to receive or store complete payment-card details directly where those details are handled by the payment processor. Paid provider features are separate from provider verification, geographic eligibility and organic relevance.
Marketing communications
Creating an account or submitting provider information does not automatically constitute consent to receive marketing communications. If marketing or newsletter subscriptions are introduced, consent will be handled separately and users will be able to withdraw that consent where applicable.
Analytics
Aging-in-Place USA may introduce analytics tools to understand website use and improve the service. Where non-essential analytics technologies require consent, they will be handled through the site’s applicable cookie and consent controls.
How long we keep information
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including operating accounts, maintaining provider and audit records, responding to enquiries, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes and protecting the integrity of the service. Different categories of information may therefore be retained for different periods.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information and the operation of the website. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, and users should take reasonable steps to protect their own passwords and account access.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights concerning personal information held about you. These may include rights to request access, correction, deletion or information about how your data is used. To make a privacy request, contact aginginplaceusa@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children’s privacy
Aging-in-Place USA is intended for adults researching aging-in-place information and services. It is not designed as a service directed to children.

Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the website and its services change. The current version will be published on this page with the latest review date.
